Coordinator - Pipeline Academy

We are searching for an experienced Coordinator - Pipeline Academy at our Main Campus.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

·         To serve as the point of contact relative to matters related to the Pipeline training program and provide support through planning, organizing, and directing the academic and administrative activities to ensure that the training program(s) complies with industry needs and expectations as well as college standards, policies, and procedures.  Acts as chief advocate for the Pipeline Academy program and presents a positive image of Workforce Solutions and the College to both internal and external customers

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·         Formulate and convene on a regular basis, an advisory committee composed of individuals who have experience in the pipeline industry and who have a vested interest in promoting, supporting, and ensuring the success of the program

·         Program Design and Development

§  Collaborate with program and industry stakeholders to design and develop the program to align with existing and emerging industry needs

§  Develop industry partnerships for long-term success of the program

§  Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in the design and development of the pipeline training loop

·         Curriculum Design and Development

§  Develop, coordinate, and/or support the development of curriculum as needed

§  Assists in production and assembly of training materials as needed

§  Ensures classroom/lab is prepared and equipped for each training session

§  Instruct students in various preparatory or certification courses as needed

·         Scheduling

§  Collaborates with all stakeholders to align course schedule with Workforce and college objectives, client expectations, instructor and resource availability

§  Coordinates resources as necessary to keep course on schedule and ensure adequate training space and equipment is available

·         Performs other work as assigned

·         Meets regularly with the Executive Director and/or other key stake holders to communicate all activities within area of responsibility


Required Qualifications:

·         5 or more years of pipeline industry experience (maintenance, operations, and/or inspection)

·         Specific and verifiable experience with pigging, hot-tapping, PHMSA OQ, pipeline technician, maintenance, operations, and/or inspection process and procedure is preferred

·         3 – 5 years of experience working on projects with both internal and external clients and stakeholders

·         Earned ertification(s) related to pipeline maintenance and/or operations is preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·         Effectively evaluate situations and make decisions

·         Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with a diverse group of individuals, both internally and externally

·         Maintain a task orientation and a high attention to detail

·         Communicate effectively and efficiently both written and verbally



Employment Type: Temporary

Contract Length: 12-month
